Change Management - Basics working

..so a happy new year to you all and I hope, you had a great party celebrating the new year....

Change Management implementation at this client moves forward, the pilot is ready now and tested and we will make a demonstration and workshop to determine if there is anything in the standard process, what should be changed, any additional notifications, ensure about roles and responsibilities and so on.

It did actually take some time, to get all the RFC's from DEV/QA and PRD client working and also all the required 000-RFC's and of course, sometimes there is problems and changes and Change Management doesn't work anymore. But for now it should be fine.

Pretty much the biggest question in Change Management is always not the technical side, that is a bit tricky, but no rocket-science, but the organisational readiness and drive to follow-through.

SAP Solution Manager - Change Management will require Change Processes, Change Manager, in the best case a Service Manager, a Test Manager, a user community ready and willing to use it and also a development and consulting team realising the benefits for them. I have seen one global client with SAP centres in USA, Europe and Asia, which couldn't get the organisation to accept Change Management after 9 month....

Well, soon more here about SAP Change Management,

Frank
